PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 15, 2022) The ordnance department of Marine Wing Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 314, works diligently to load and unload their F-35C Lightning II with the AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) as VMFA-314 assumes the role as the USS Abraham Lincoln’s alert aircraft. Abraham Lincoln Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships while serving as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
