    MDNG Distributes COVID-19 Treatment Medicine

U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Chris Miller, a precision guided munitions supervisor for the 175th Maintenance Squadron, Maryland Air National Guard, moves cases of Remdesivir, one of the therapeutic treatments believed to be effective against the omicron COVID-19 variant, to a vehicle for transportation on Jan. 14, 2022, at a Strategic National Stockpile warehouse in Maryland. At the direction of Governor Larry Hogan, up to 1,000 Maryland National Guard members were activated to assist state and local health officials with their response to rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations to include the distribution of treatment medicine and personal protective equipment.
