An AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 167 provide simulated aerial defense at a forward arming and refueling point at Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, North Carolina, Jan. 13, 2022. The demonstration of expeditionary advanced base operations concepts was a part of the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps' Force Level Summit and illustrated the capabilities of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing in support of the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ force design.
