U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Donald Hoffman, left, a 355th Aircraft Maintenance Unit crew chief, gives an F-35A Lightning II tour to Senior Master Sgt. Saul Soto-Sanchez, executive assistant to the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF), and Master Sgt. Kianay Vaughn, special assistant to the CMSAF, during a visit to Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Jan. 11, 2022. During this part of the visit, Hoffman gave a tour of the F-35A Lightning II to Bass and her team. The 354th Fighter Wing stood up two combat-coded F-35A squadrons, the 355th and the 356th Fighter Squadrons, and is slated to have a total of 54 F-35As by early 2022.
