SOUTH CHINA SEA (Jan. 22, 2022) Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Esau Arellano, from Fresno, Calif., ties a pennant to the side of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ralph Johnson (DDG 114) in preparation for a replenishment-at-sea with the Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oiler USNS John Ericsson (T-AO-194). Ralph Johnson is assigned to Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th fleet’s principal surface force.
