A Finnish F/A-18 Hornet aircraft reflects off of a boom operator’s rear view mirror while preparing to receive fuel from a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft assigned to the 100th Air Refueling Wing, Finland, Jan. 24, 2022. KC-135s are equipped with mirrors at multiple angles to assist the boom operator in case the boom malfunctions that prevents the receiving aircraft from being clearly seen during aerial refueling.
