VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (January 26, 2022) Major General Austin E. Renforth, Commanding General, MAGTF Training Command, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center visits Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic (EWTGLANT) to present the inaugural Captain Mike Ott award for Amphibious Warfare Excellence to Lieutenant Commander Beth-Ann C. Martin. Opening remarks given by Colonel Christopher A. Browning, Commanding Officer, EWTGLANT and guest speaker Mr. Christopher Bushnell, USN CAPT (Ret.) This annual award was created in memory, and to honor the legacy, of CAPT Michael Francis Ott, Jr., USN (Ret.) who played an integral role in amphibious warfare for the United States military. EWTGLANT was chosen to be the home of the CAPT Mike Ott award and to host the awards ceremony which was attended by friends and family of CAPT Ott aboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (JEBLCFS).
