SOUTH CHINA SEA (Jan. 26, 2022) Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Matthew Hawkins, from Telford, Tenn., assigned to the "Raptors" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 71, conducts maintenance on the rear propeller of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter in the hangar bay aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Carl Vinson and Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Groups conduct dual carrier operations to advance Joint Force interoperability while demonstrating our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
