Gone but never forgotten…Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Maxton Soviak, a Berlin, Ohio native of 22 years, was with the 1st Marine Division when he was killed in action at Kabul, Afghanistan, August 26, 2021. Soviak was added to the command’s Hospital Corps Heroes Wall of Honor, a memorial to the 57 hospital corpsmen lost after 9/11 during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs officer).
