U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), refuel an F/A-18 Super Hornet with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 323, MAG 11, 3rd MAW, at a Forward Arming Refueling Point (FARP) during Winter Fury at Grant County Municipal Airport, Moses Lake, Washington, Feb. 2, 2022. A FARP is a key component of expeditionary advanced base operations as it allows the Marine Corps to refuel and, rearm in a distributed environment. Winter Fury 22 trains the Marines of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing for a highly contested environment, assess the training and equipment as a naval expeditionary force-in-readiness, and ability to operate inside actively contested maritime spaces in support of fleet operations.
