U.S. Marines with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and a U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain Mate Handler brace for an incoming U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter during a mass casualty evacuation scenario aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Jan. 28, 2022, in the Philippine Sea. Marines and sailors attached to LHA 6 regularly conduct mass casualty evacuation and treatment procedures to maintain proficiency in a combat environment.
