Lt. Gen. Scott A. Spellmon, the 55th Chief of Engineers and commanding general of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, meets with Brig. Gen. Hazza Al-Alati, the Commander of Kuwait Naval Forces, and his staff, at a Kuwaiti navy base on Feb. 2, 2022. Spellmon, and the distinguished group of U.S. and Kuwaiti partners that worked together to renovate the pier, cut a ceremonious ribbon and viewed a display on the history of the pier. The renovated navy pier and harbor house construction projects were managed by Transatlantic Division's Middle East District.
