JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Jan. 19, 2022) - Lt. Cmdr. Jami Buckley, a flight surgeon at Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville, examines a sailor. Buckley holds a doctor of medicine degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. A native of Belton, Missouri, she says, “Flight surgeons are forward deployed physicians that care for the Navy and Marine Corps' aviation assets. They work closely with aerospace medical technicians to provide primary care and complete administrative medical requirements for the squadrons.
