Potato farmers pose with their improved crops following USAID-supported training. USAID and Pepsico subsidiary Chipsy, Egypt's largest snack food producer, piloted an initiative to improve potato quality and yield and to connect smallholder farms to market. Through the training and assistance received, some farmers were able to double their harvest and yield high quality produce that could supply big companies like Chipsy.
