220208-N-NO146-1001 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Feb. 8, 2022) Capt. James Johnston, commodore of Commander, Task Force (CTF) 57, briefs visitors aboard a P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft, attached to the “War Eagles” of Patrol Squadron 16, deployed with CTF 57 in the 5th Fleet area of operations, Feb. 6. CTF 57 aircraft conduct missions in support of maritime operations to ensure stability, security, and the free flow of commerce in the Central Command area of responsibility.
