A KC-130J Super Hercules assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron-352 (VMGR-352) extends a refueling pod to French Dassault Mirage 2000 fighter jets near Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Feb. 8, 2022. U.S. and French forces regularly exchange expertise, ideas and tactics to become a more integrated combined force with the ability to respond to crises or threats in East Africa. The refueling unit is deployed from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, and supports the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa by providing aerial refueling, airdrop and rescue capabilities to the area of operations.
