U.S. Air Force Airmen provide medical care to a simulated patient during exercise Cope North 22 on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 8, 2022. The simulated patients were transported to Andersen AFB via military aircraft to hone medical evacuation procedures and care. U.S. forces and supporting commands regularly exercise humanitarian assistance and disaster response scenarios, often with pre-existing agreements, arrangements, or processes in place to expedite partner and allied government’s requests for help.
