PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 20, 2022) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Destanee Willison, from North Branch, Mich., assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), instructs Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) on how to apply a tourniquet to a leg during a Tactical Combat Casualty Care exercise held in the ship’s medical bay. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st MEU, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
