SAN DIEGO (Feb. 16-18) — Capt. Christi Montgomery, Commander, Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography, sat with “Mohawk Matt”, during AFCEA-USNI WEST 2022, for a podcast interview on “By Hair, Land and Sea”, where he gave a detailed overview of Naval Oceanography and the current state of operations and capability. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
