CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (Feb. 26, 2022) U.S. Navy Capt. David Faehnle, commanding officer at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, discusses the importance of Black History Month and revisits the biographies of notable Black Sailors during a cake-cutting celebration held at Camp Lemonnier’s Doris “Dorie” Miller Galley. CLDJ serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
