Training Center Cape May staff and family members participate in a “Workout to Remember” to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the crash of helicopter 6535, Feb. 28, 2022. The training center’s wellness committee, along with Chief Petty Officer Nick Gardner, an aviation survival technician at the training center, coordinated and hosted the event to honor the four Coast Guardsmen who lost their lives: Lt. Cmdr. Dale Taylor, Lt. j.g. Thomas Cameron, Chief Petty Officer Fernando Jorge, and Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Knight. While it is impossible to predict what future years will bring, the Coast Guard will face complex challenges around the world that will require our very best. Collectively, we will ensure that the Coast Guard remains Always Ready to meet the needs of our great nation. (U.S. Coast Guard photo by Seaman Christian Lower)
