Master Chief Petty Officer Phillip Waldron relieved Master Chief Petty Officer Corey Sidlo as the 17th Coast Guard District Command Master Chief during a change of watch ceremony at the Juneau Yacht Club in Juneau, Alaska, March 1, 2022.

The change of watch ceremony, presided over by Rear Adm. Nathan Moore, 17th District commander, is a time-honored tradition and ensures the continuity of leadership in the district’s area of responsibility.

Waldron will carry on the primary responsibility of advising the 17th District commander on issues and initiatives pertaining to all Coast Guardsmen and their families throughout Alaska. - U.S. Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer 2nd Class Lexie Preston
