Annie Laura Bailey, a Signal Corps field telephone operator for the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, works on some paperwork at the age of 23 in 1943. She was one of the first women in Georgia to serve in WAAC. U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division Soldiers celebrated Bailey’s 101st birthday as part of Women’s History Month, which recognizes the contributions women have made to the nation and the specific achievements they have made over the course of history.
