Kim Tae-sung, Commandant of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, during a visit to Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Mar. 1, 2022. The Marines met to discuss 3d Marines’ transition to 3d Marine Littoral Regiment as part of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Force Design modernization efforts, the regiment’s current priorities and activities in the region, and opportunities for future collaboration within the Indo-Pacific region.
