F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots with the 36th Fighter Squadron await their turn for takeoff at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, March 7, 2022. The 36th FS is a combat ready squadron with the capability to conduct air interdiction, close air support (CAS) and counter-air missions in both day and night conditions. Throughout its 101-year history, the 36th FS has flown more than 20 different types of aircraft, received 22 unit citations and accumulated 24 service and campaign streamers.
