Italian Navy Contrammiraglio Valentino Rinaldi and U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Anthony Henderson, commanding general of 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade, go for a tour of the training areas in an Italian MH101 prior to Exercise Cold Response 2022 on March 12, 2022 in Narvik, Norway. The exercise provides NATO forces, including U.S. forces, the experience to operate in harsh arctic climates and mountainous terrain, and to adapt and thrive in those operational environments. Exercise Cold Response '22 is a biennial Norwegian national readiness and defense exercise that takes place across Norway, with participation from each of its military services, as well as from 26 additional North Atlantic Treaty Organization allied nations and regional partners.
