PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 18, 2022) – Chief Gunner’s Mate Robert Landeros fires a M240B machine gun during a live-fire exercise aboard Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Montgomery (LCS 8) during routine underway operations in the Eastern Pacific. LCS is a fast, agile, mission-focused platform designed to operate in near-shore environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
