U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Patrick Sacchet, a signal officer from the 29th Combat Aviation Brigade, Maryland National Guard, locates a simulated enemy vehicle and call for fire on March 12, 2022 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The 2022 Maryland Best Warrior Competition took place from March 10-14 at H. Steven Blum Military Reservation, Glen Arm, and Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. Service members from the Maryland Army National Guard and the Estonian Defense Force tested and displayed the essential soldier skills while pushing their mental and physical limits in events that included a ruck march, a warrior task lane, a stress shoot event, an outdoors obstacle course, conducting convoy security, a physical fitness test, a mystery task, and an appearance board.
