Chief Hospital Corpsman (Ret) Michael Duff briefs Sailors from Naval Special Warfare Group EIGHT (NSWG-8) about the military history of Dec 7, 1941 attacks on Pearl Harbor during the opening of a USS ARIZONA (BB-39) memorial room. The new room displays one of the largest intact pieces of salvaged steel from the wreckage and is the centerpiece of a NSWG-8 command heritage project that focuses on undersea warfare. Following a Secretary of the Navy instruction for commands to take responsibility of Navy history, NSWG-8 will maintain the display for Sailors and their visitors to learn about the history on Dec 7, 1941 that led to the creation of Naval Special Warfare Underwater Demolition Teams.
