BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA (March 18, 2022) Lt. Gen. John S. Kolasheski, commanding general, U.S. Army V Corps, speaks with members of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment after a visit by U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III to NATO Integration Force Unit – Slovakia headquarters. 2nd Cavalry Regiment is among other units assigned to V Corps, America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe that works alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retains command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European Theater.
