EASTERN PACIFIC OCEAN - (March 21, 2022) -- The Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Milwaukee (LCS 5), her 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB), and Ecuadorian Coast Guard vessels LAE Rio Jubones (LG-120) and LAE Rio Tangare (LG-128), conduct a bilateral maritime interdiction exercise off the coast of Manta, Ecuador, March 21, 2022. Milwaukee is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations to support Joint Interagency Task Force South’s mission, which includes counter-illicit drug trafficking missions in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
