U.S Air Force Airman 1st Class Matthew Shifflet, 31st Security Forces Squadron response team member, from the 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy, exchanges different security measures and techniques with Croatian Air Force Soldier Din Begulic, 191st Ela-Fighter Jet Unit while standing guard in front of a U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon, while it receives routine maintenance for Agile Combat Employment operations at Croatia’s 91st Air Base at Pleso, March 17, 2022. The 31st FW executed ACE operations with Croatian Allies. Missions such as these enhance the readiness necessary to respond to any potential challenge in Southeast Europe.
