Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s Diversity Committee hosted an event on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 to commemorate Women’s History Month. The event took place in front of the Medical Center’s flag poles as an all-female Honor Guard executed a special morning colors ceremony.
In keeping with this year’s theme for Women’s History Month, “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope”, guest speaker U.S. Navy Captain Alison Castro, NMCCL’s Director for Nursing Services spoke of her journey as a female nurse in the Navy and recognized the significant impact women for centuries have made in the medical and military communities.
