Randall Lewis, lead at the Fleet Support Team’s Innovation Lab at Fleet Readiness Center East, removes a 3D-printed item from the lab’s new Stratasys F770 3D printer, which was acquired as part of a recent round of capability upgrades. The new printer allows the Innovation Lab to manufacture larger items than possible with previous equipment, which has helped expand the potential uses for the items prototyped and created in the lab.
