Left to right, New York City Police First Deputy Commissioner, Edward Caban, Commissioner, Keechant Sewell, and Det. Damarr McBean pays respects to fallen New York Army National Guard sergeant and NYPD Officer Deon Taylor on Sgt. Deon Taylor Memorial Ball Field on U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hamilton, New York, Mar. 21, 2022. McBean is the brother of Taylor. Sewell and Caban visited Fort Hamilton to discuss ongoing operations and the longstanding partnership with the NYPD. Fort Hamilton values their partners at the city, state, and federal level, and is committed to maintaining viable relationships. The NYPD leadership also took a moment to visit our other memorials dedicated to fallen NYPD/Army heroes: Army Staff Sgt. James McNaughton and Staff Sgt. Christian Engeldrum.
