KANEOHE, Hawaii (March 25, 2022) Sailors and Coast Guardsmen assigned to U.S. Pacific Fleet and U.S. Coast Guard District 14, give back to Hawaiian residents by cleaning the watershed, controlling erosion, and planting taro in Kaneohe’s Haiku Valley. Hawaii’s central Pacific location has had a strategic military importance for more than half a century and is home to more than 42,000 military personnel.
