A U.S. Army soldier assigned to 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment explains his weapon of choice to NATO allies at the Weapons Exchange Static Display at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, Romania, on March 24, 2022. 1-16IN is part of the V Corps, America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe that works alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retains command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European theater such as the 1st Infantry Division, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, 41st Field Artillery Brigade, and the 4th Security Force Assistance Brigade.
