Georgia Air National Guardsman Master Sgt. Jerome Miller, vehicle maintenance technician, 165th Vehicle Maintenance, poses for a photo prior to performing a periodic maintenance inspection on a fire truck that belongs to the 165th Airlift Wing Fire Department on March 30, 2022 in Savannah, Georgia. Miller has been in the Georgia Air National Guard for 15 years. He spent 12 years in the aircraft engine shop and moved to vehicle maintenance to expand his skill set to other types of equipment. Both of Miller's parents were active-duty Army and he said he found the Air National Guard to be more appealing because it was more suitable for family life and he could choose his duty station. He said he has enjoyed the unique travel and training opportunities that would not have been available to him outside of the military. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Caila Arahood)
