Cpl. Lee Hae Ryun is a Korean Augmentation to the U.S. Army (KATUSA) Soldier. He serves in 1st Battalion, 38th Field Artillery Regiment, 210th Field Artillery Brigade at Camp Casey as a Fire Control Specialist. Lee, from the city of Seoul, says the thing he most enjoys about his current duties is the importance he feels from his mission. As a KATUSA, a large portion of his job is being a translator for U.S. Soldiers to Republic of Korea Soldiers, as such he is a crucial part of the interactions between both nations. Lee also enjoys the parts of his job that he finds challenging, continuing to learn to improve his skills. (U.S. Army photo by Pfc. Miguel DCruz/20th Public Affairs Detachment)
