CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait- U.S. Soldiers compete in a Norwegian Ruck March on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Apr. 9, 2022. The Norwegian Ruck March was first held in 1915 during World War One to test the strength and endurance of the Norwegian military while exposing them to conditions they could expect in combat. Typically, a Norwegian representative oversees the competition but because of Covid-19, the march will be allowed to occur without one. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
