YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 22, 2022) – Rear Adm. Carl Lahti, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces/Region Japan (CNFJ/CNRJ), left, Capt. Rich Jarrett, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), right, and members of Japan American Navy Friendship Association (JANAFA) plant a tree for the 2022 Earth Day Fair. The annual event provides information on animal habitats, recycling, alternate energy, historic resources and more. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th fleet's forward deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
