SAN ANTONIO - (April 19, 2022) – Dr. Corey Levenson, director of San Antonio Military Medical Innovation, San Antonio Economic Development Corporation (SAEDC) moderate a question-and-answer session with (L-R) Dr. Scott Walter of the U.S. Air Force 59th Medical Wing (MDW), Dr. Sylvain Cardin of Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) San Antonio, and Lt. Col Ronnie Hill of U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (ISR) during the third Military Medical Industry Day (MMID) hosted by the City of San Antonio, SAEDC, and VelocityTX at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. NAMRU San Antonio’s mission is to conduct gap driven combat casualty care, craniofacial, and directed energy research to improve survival, operational readiness, and safety of Department of Defense personnel engaged in routine and expeditionary operations. It is one of the leading research and development laboratories for the U.S. Navy under the DoD and is one of eight subordinate research commands in the global network of laboratories operating under Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) in Silver Spring, Md.
