Col. Karl R. Arbogast, commanding officer, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort (MCAS), and Sgt. Maj. Jonathan M. Wyble, sergeant major, MCAS Beaufort, plant four trees in front of the air station Headquarters building with members of the Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Office to celebrate Earth Day at MCAS Beaufort, S.C., April 22, 2022. Earth day is a time to reflect on the mission carried out at the air station and how to preserve the environment while sustaining the Marine Corps mission into the future in Beaufort, S.C. The trees were planted in remembrance of the four fallen Marines with Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261 who were killed earlier this year in Norway during the NATO exercise.
