220423-N-DM318-1045 NAVAL AIR FACILITY ATSUGI, Japan (Apr. 23, 2022) The Honorable Rahm Emanuel, the U.S. ambassador to Japan, arrives at Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi while en route, for an official visit, to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi supports the combat readiness of Commander, Carrier Air Wing FIVE (CVW 5), Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron FIVE ONE (HSM-51) and 30 other tenant commands and provides logistic support, coordination, and services to units assigned to the Western Pacific.
