Former Marine Sgt. John Cole presents the family of Cpl. David Milano the Ambassador for Peace medal at his graveside service April 29, 2022, in Ogden, Utah. The Ambassador for Peace commemorative medal is an expression of appreciation from the Korean government to American service men and women who served in the Korean War. Milano went missing in action Dec. 2, 1950, during the Korean War. After 71 years, his remains have been repatriated to the United States and have been laid to rest on U.S. soil.
