PERTH, Australia (April 28, 2022) – Sonar Technician (Submarine) 3rd Class Benjamin Heckman, from Greenville, South Carolina, assigned to the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Springfield (SSN 761), attaches a crane cable to the deck skid following a weapons handling exercise while the submarine is pierside at Royal Australian Navy base HMAS Stirling on Garden Island, off the coast of Perth, Australia, April 28, 2022.
