U.S. Air Force Col. Benjamin Jonsson, 6th Air Refueling Wing commander, participates in a demonstration highlighting the capabilities of the 6th Maintenance Squadron corrosion control unit at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, April 28, 2022. The corrosive control unit uses various chemical and mechanical methods to remove corrosion from aircraft. Because of MacDill’s proximity to salt water, the aircraft assigned to the base are more susceptible to corrosion and require more frequent maintenance.
