U.S. Army Brigadier General John Kline, commander of U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training, visited Cooper University Hospital to strengthen relationships within the community and the military Saturday, May 7. Kline along with Major Tamika Chan of Cherry Hill Medical Recruiting Station met with Cooper Hospital leadership and staff. Dr. John Chovanes, Colonel ,Chief Surgeon of Military and Diplomatic Affairs, lead the tour which gave Gen Kline an in-depth experience which he can share with US Army leadership.
Cooper is the first hospital in the U.S. to have trained elite medical providers from every branch of our nation’s armed forces as well as many local, state, and federal government agencies and international partners. These partnerships allow both the civilian and military doctors to work side-by-side exchanging their unique skills and knowledges of trauma medicine. Along with those partnerships, Cooper Hospital is one of hundreds of companies in the US to join the US Army Partnership for Youth Success.
