The secretary of the Navy's pennant is proudly hung from the port side yard arm at the commissioning ceremony of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112). Murphy is named after Lt. Michael Murphy, a Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient who posthumously received the nation's highest military honor for bravery during combat in Afghanistan in 2005.
