Sailors man the rails as the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG 121) arrives in Charleston, S.C. for its commissioning ceremony May 9, 2022. The ship is named in honor of the Marine Corps lieutenant general who was the first African-American Marine Corps aviator and Marine Corps general officer.
